Of course I was up all night! Not because I have insomnia,I just couldn't stop thinking about coffee!

I survive life through the miracle that is coffee. I drink gallons of the darn stuff- it's how I can get out of bed and be awake! So my morning routine is usually quite simple. I wake up, hit the snooze button on my alarm, doze, and repeat for as long as possible. Then I stumble into the kitchen, turn on the kettle, then the wireless internet. I make my coffee, and then go check my email.

Today, I did the same. Except my hands weren't functioning, and I poured burning coffee all over my hand. Before the pain registered, I got really angry, cuz I just wasted that precious nectar of the gods. Then the pain set in, and I became less "I'll have to make some more," and more "FU(K!NG H£LL! OUCHIES!!!!" Not my idea of a great morning.

And I just took a sip of my coffee, and its cold. *sigh* Is it bad that I don't care?

Now, some people have tried to tell me that caffeine is a drug. Which is silly, because it is a vitamin, just like chocolate. *ignores people who try to ruin my delusions* And so coffee is good and amazing and nothing is bad about it.

I love what Dave Barry said about coffee-

"It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people who have a genuine medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as some kind of recreational activity. I bet this kind of thing does not happen to heroin addicts. I bet that when serious heroin addicts go to purchase their heroin, they do not tolerate waiting in line while some dilettante in front of them orders a hazelnut smack-a-cino with cinnamon sprinkles."

The voodoo priest and all his powders were as nothing compared to espresso, cappuccino, and mocha, which are stronger than all the religions of the world combined, and perhaps stronger than the human soul itself.

"Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz:
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
I will fear no Equal™:
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of The Starbucks:
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the House of Mochas forever"
